Collection: Abegail Morley

Abegail Morley was born in Lincolnshire and now lives in Kent where she runs workshops. She is guest poetry editor for The New Writer. Her collection, How to Pour Madness into a Teacup (Cinnamon, 2009), was shortlisted for the Forward Prize Best First Collection in 2010; the title poem was previously nominated for the Best Single Poem. Her second collection, Snow Child, was published by Pindrop Press. She was nominated for the London Best New Poet Award 2010 and won the 2009 Cinnamon Press Poetry Collection Award and The Didsbury Arts Festival Open. She was also placed in Agenda, Nottingham Open Poetry, The Frogmore Prize and Aesthetica Creative Writing Competition. Her work appears in a wide range of journals including The Financial Times, Poetry Review, Poetry Salzburg and The Spectator.
