Edward Storey was born in Cambrideshire and worked in Adult Education in the East Anglian Fen country for fourteen years. He has also been a broadcaster, scriptwriter, librettist for many composers, as well as autobiographer and biographer of John Clare. He was a founder member of the John Clare Society and has been its Vice-President.
