Kate Noakes is a poet and short fiction writer. She is an elected member of the Welsh Academi. Her published poetry is as follows: Ocean to Interior (Mighty Erudite, 2007),  The Wall Menders (Two Rivers Press, 2009),  Cape Town (Eyewear, 2012), I-spy and Shanty (Mulfran Press, 2013). Her work has appeared in Poetry Ireland Review, The Wolf, Envoi and Mslexia, amongst others, and in the national press. She has performed at venues as diverse as Glastonbury Festival and Henley Literature Festival. She won the Owen Barfield Prize in 2009. She divides her time between Paris and Caversham, Berks. She blogs at www.boomslangpoetry.blogspot.com and reads at Spoken Word Paris most Monday nights (www.spokenwordparis.com).
