Cardiff City are the only team to have taken the F.A. Cup out of England (in 1927). No club has come closer (0.024 of a goal) to winning football's top division and they took part in the first Cup Final to be broadcast live on radio, as well as the first closed-circuit television transmission of a League game.

C'mon City! A Hundred Years of the Bluebirds is the club's official centenary celebration. It reveals, for the first time, the remarkable struggle of their founder, Bart Wilson, to set up a professional soccer team in a Welsh rugby stronghold.

Author Grahame Lloyd charts the club's progress from public park to Ninian Park, from formation in 1899 to their ninth promotion a century later. Exciting cup runs and floodlit European nights are also recalled by some of City's most loyal supporters. Writers Dannie Abse and Peter Corrigan, former players Brian Clark and Phil Dwyer, superfan Sue Goodfriend, ex-chairman Tony Clemo and current manager Frank Burrows explain their attachment to this unique club.

Grahame Lloyd is a freelance broadcaster and journalist and commentator. He is the author of Daffodil Days, Glamorgan's Glorious Summer, C'Mon City! and Jan the Man, the life story of Jan Molby.
