Collection: Andrea Bianchi

Born in 1960 in Turin, Italy, Andrea Bianchi is a poet in Italian and a prose writer in English. He has published four collections of poetry: La stanza prosegue, Corvi spigoli neri, …sospeso teso / filo di luci… and Abracacadarba. A Corridor of Rain (Cinnamon Press) is his first collection in English. An important Italian critic defined Bianchi’s poetry as an ‘objective poetry of objects’. Since 1997, Bianchi and Silvana Siviero, his Welsh-born wife, have worked as translators. They are the founding editors of a unique series of poetry in the UK, Minorities Not Minority: A Window on Italian Cultures, from Cinnamon Press. Their translations of the works of Welsh author Menna Elfyn won the Anima Istranza Foreign Prize for Poetry in 2009.
