Collection: Jackie Wills

Jackie Wills has been resident poet at an airport, a youth bus, the Surrey countryside, an art gallery and with marketing teams at Unilever subsidiaries: Lever Fabergé and Lever Brothers. Her poetry has been printed on paper napkins and t-shirts, broadcast on BBC News On-line, Radio 4 and published in national papers. Powder Tower (Arc), her first full collection, was shortlisted for the 1995 T. S. Eliot prize and was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. Her second collection, Party (Leviathan), was published in 2000. She has received writing awards from the Arts Council, Society of Authors and South East Arts. A former journalist, she has worked for Channel Four and Discovery Channel websites, local, national, business press and Octopus publishing. She now attempts to survive on commissions, residencies and writing workshops in schools, with community groups and business. She lives in Brighton with her partner, the South African musician Risenga Makondo, and their two children.
