Collection: Peter Carpenter

Peter Carpenter is the author of five other poetry collections, including The Black-Out Book (Arc Publications, 2002), Just Like That (Smith/Doorstop, ) and After the Goldrush (Nine Arches Press, 2009). His poems and criticism have appeared in the likes of The IndependentThe London MagazineThe NorthTLSAgendaPoetry Review, The Rialto, and Use of English. His poems have been anthologised in A Mutual Friend: Poems for Charles Dickens (Two Rivers Press/English Association, 2012) and The Captain’s Tower (Seren, 2011). He contributed to London: City of Disappearances (Penguin), edited by Iain Sinclair, and is both a contributor to and a character in Sinclair’s classic study of the M25, London Orbital.

Peter has performed, mentored and run writing workshops at many venues including the Ledbury and Aldeburgh Poetry Festivals, Ways With Words, The Troubadour, the Poetry Café, and Survivors Poetry, and was made a Teacher Trailblazer by the Poetry Society in 2009 in recognition of his services in the teaching of poetry.
