Sue’s first novel, \u003cem\u003eDepth of Field\u003c\/em\u003e, was published by Dewi Lewis in 2000; John Berger called it a “remarkable first novel”. Her second, \u003cem\u003eGirl in White \u003c\/em\u003e(Cinnamon Press, 2012), tells the story of the German expressionist painter Paula Modersohn-Becker. Sue is a regular contributor to the\u003cem\u003e \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eIndependent\u003c\/em\u003e and the \u003cem\u003eNew Statesman\u003c\/em\u003e, and runs Creative Writing workshops at the Royal College of Art.
