The Inpress Festival of Publishing is a celebration of all things creative, with a practical twist. It is a showcase of the inventiveness, innovation, diversity and agility of independent publishers, and all those working in our industry.
 
Designed as a networking and sharing of ideas event, this year's Inpress Festival of Publishing focuses on how to be noticed and sell your story through branding, social media, publishing and PR to achieve those all important book sales. It is a day of presentations and panel events featuring a mix of experts ready to share their experiences and discoveries. It is a chance to inspire and be inspired in a supportive and creative environment.

Publishers Stefan Tobler of And Other Stories, Jane Commane of Nine Arches Press, Reni K Amayo and Mariam Jimoh of Onwe Press and Crystal Mahey-Morgan of OWN IT! reveal the secrets of their success.  These entrepreneurial panellists will share their alternative approaches to publishing and how staying true to their vision and ideals and seeking out untapped markets has had a positive impact on their business.

11.45 – 12.15      The art of jacket design and getting it right!  Bloomsbury Publishing’s Award winning Assistant Art Director, Greg Heinimann gives practical insight to the art of good design.

12.15 – 13.00        Independent Bookseller Panel

How best to market your books to the independent book trade and how these booksellers get the books into the hands of readers. Miranda Peake of Chener Books, Sam Fisher of Burley Fisher, Cathy Slater of Dulwich Books and Jo Heygate of Pages of Hackney discuss how to work effectively with them and what they need to ensure the books on their shelves leave in the hands of readers.
