Believing that men who have been through war should speak out about its horrors and immorality, he uses his poetic gift to bring back his own war-time experiences and try, like Keith Douglas, a tank commander in WWII, to allow the reader to enter into the intense experience of combat. He is married with two sons, and lives in Watford, Hertfordshire.
GEOFF BOULD was a tankcrew member in the Seventh Hussars, Seventh Armoured Brigade (Desert Rats), serving in the Western Desert, Burma and Italy during World War II. He then entered the civil service, and is now retired. He has been writing poetry for the past ten years.
