“A very cool combination of rap, rhyme, repetition and wit.” - Winnipeg Free Press

“Impressive wordplay.” - The Times

Honed over a decade of live shows, this collection from serial slam champion Ash Dickinson marks him out as one of the outstanding comic poets of the last decade. Featuring poems about the fear of poetry, the state of premiership football, an embalmed wife/coffee table hybrid, pollution of the oceans, a love-sick fridge and knitwear for Gibbons, it is a collection that is weird, wonderful and unpretentious.

In the tradition of Adrian Mitchell and The Liverpool poets, Adrian Henri, Brian Patten and Roger McGough, this is poetry that is consistently accessible and entertaining.

Ash Dickinson is a writer, poet and comedy performer who when not constantly touring the UK splits his time between Bristol, Edinburgh and Nottingham. In addition to the UK he has performed in Canada, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Jordan and Spain. He is seasoned poetry slam champion and a regular at festivals around the UK including the Cheltenham Literature Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe and the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
