It's Dyslexia Awareness Week!
Most of you will know that it is National Poetry Day today, but what some of you might not already know is that it is also Dyslexia Awareness Week! Organised by the British Dyslexia Association, the theme of 2015 is ‘Making Sense of Dyslexia’, which focuses on the support and interventions available and the impact that this has on the dyslexic community. Events will be taking place across the country: more information can be found on their website.
A new collection of poetry from Inpress, published by Burning Eye Books, is A.F. Harrold’s Things You Find in a Poet’s Beard, which has been printed in a dyslexia-friendly font and also features wonderful illustrations by Chris Riddell, whose recent works include Goth Girl. It’s a fantastic collection and has been featured in our weekly newsletter. You can get a copy of Things You Find in a Poet’s Beard on our website and, in joint celebration with National Poetry Day, you can take 25% off your order with the code NPD2015.
