Aldo Vianello was born in 1937 in Pellestrina, a fishing village in the Venetian lagoon. He has continued to live and write in Venice. He has published more than twenty books of prose and poetry, extending his range without losing the delicate lyrical quality which is the hallmark of his style. (I like the honesty of your poetry, which reflects a spirit. I too love Venice, I wish him happiness.’)
