Edward O’Dwyer, 28, from Limerick, has had his poetry published widely in magazines, periodicals and anthologies throughout Ireland, Britain, the United States and Australia including Poetry Ireland Review, Southword, ‘New Irish Writing’ in The Sunday Tribune, Agenda, Weyfarers, The Journal and Scottish Poetry Review.
In 2007, his work was published by Revival Press in the chapbook, Revival Trio – twelve poems together titled Oboe. He was selected by Poetry Ireland for their Introductions Series (2010), later that year editing the Revival Press anthology, Sextet. He has been an invited reader at various prestigious festivals and events, including O Bhéal, the Sean Dunn Writers Festival, Cuisle Limerick City International Poetry Festival, and the Villanova Festival in Ljubljana, Slovenia, funded by Culture Ireland.
He was selected to represent Ireland at the Poesiefestival in Berlin, Germany, for a renshi project involving the 27 member states of Europe. A selection of his poetry is translated into Slovene by poet Veronika Dintinjana.
