Basim Furat

Basim Furat was born in 1967 in Karbala, Iraq. He left Iraq in 1993, first to Jordan, then Wellington, New Zealand, and later Japan, and Laos. He has published four collections in Arabic and had poems published in many languages. His first collection in English translation is Here and There (HeadworX, 2004).
