SALARY: £31,000 pro rata (£18,600) + auto-enrolment into NEST Pension Scheme
HOURS: 3 days a week, 21hrs/week, 3 month probationary period

HOLIDAYS: 21 days pro-rata (13 days) + bank holidays + office closed between Christmas & New Year

LOCATION: Newcastle upon Tyne Office or Remote

The Opportunity

The Inpress Key Accounts and Sales Manager is a role within the sales team aiming to achieve sales growth for Inpress publishers. You will be responsible for key account management and bookseller outreach strategies to promote and sell independently published titles to the book trade in the UK.  This role is crucial to the success of Inpress’ sales and marketing activity and in achieving our growth plans.  You will be supported by our sales team and will report into the Deputy Managing Director.

Purpose

  • Championing independent publishers and publishing to the UK book trade
  • Managing the Inpress key accounts (including Amazon and Waterstones)
  • Being part of the team managing and developing bookseller outreach across the UK trade
  • Providing feedback to colleagues and Inpress publishers 
  • Liaising with client publishers to build campaigns, form sales strategies and develop sales

Key accountability and tasks

  • Manage the relationship between Inpress and key accounts (including Waterstones and Amazon), focusing on sales growth for Inpress client publishers
  • Manage select independent bookshop relationships; generating sales, coordinating events, working as a team, and raising awareness of Inpress client publishers
  • Liaise closely with the Inpress sales team on sales to independent bookshops through our wholesaler (Gardners)
  • Prepare for and contribute to weekly and monthly in-house sales meetings and publisher meetings
  • Monthly sales reporting
  • Support the sales team where necessary to maximise sales across the trade
