Christopher James was born in Paisley in 1975, studied at Newcastle and UEA, and lives in Suffolk. A Gregory Award recipient, he has won the Bridport Prize and the Ledbury Poetry Competition twice. He participated in the 2004 Festival Masterclass and published The Invention of Butterfly in 2006.
