Courttia Newland is the author of the critically acclaimed novels The Scholar, Society Within and Snakeskin. He has contributed to the anthologies Disco 2000, New Writers 8, Afrobeat, The Time Out Book of London Short-Stories, England Calling and Tell Tales Vol 2. He is the editor of an anthology of new black writing in Britain, IC3. His novella, A Dying Wish, was published by Abacus in Autumn 2006. A short-story collection, Music for the Off Key, is published by Peepal Tree Press.
