Collection: Deirdre McGarry
Deirdre McGarry was born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. She lives in Flamborough, East Yorkshire. She was a founding member of local cultural collective 'Fish Pie & P.E.A.S.' (which allegedly stands for 'Poets, Entertainers, Artists and Songsters'), but is best-known for her 'Open House' events, sociable retreats which attract noted writers from across Britain. She has been published in numerous highly-acclaimed anthologies, including the Leeds Writers Circle Anthology 2011, and her collaboration with artist Nigel Folds, Lonely Destiny, was published by Valley Press in 2011.
