Accessible, often amusing, always entertaining, she layers her poems with a deep sense of humanity which is shared with us, transferring feelings to the poem and thus to us as readers. Elaine read history at St Hilda’s College, Oxford.She has had various occupationsbut her latest employment was with the charity Victim Support. She has one son and lives in Devon.
