Collection: G. F. Dutton
G.F. Dutton is an Anglo-Scottish poet and scientist with a lifetime’s wide range of enquiry which has resulted in many acclaimed publications. His 44-year ‘ecological dialogue’ with the garden he guided out of Perthshire scrubland led to Harvesting the Edge (prose and verse) and Some Branch Against the Sky. Three of his books have won Scottish Arts Council Book Awards, and his last collection, The Concrete Garden, was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. The Bare Abundance: Selected Poems 1975-2001 (Bloodaxe Books, 2002) was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. His mountaineering stories (‘classics of wit and humour’) were recently collected in The Complete Doctor Stories.
