David Simons’ first novel was shortlisted for the Society of Authors’ McKitterick Prize. He was awarded a Writer’s Bursary from Scottish Arts Council (Creative Scotland) to assist in the writing of The Liberation of Celia Kahn. He lives in Glasgow where he organises a monthly literary 'salon'. He has worked as a lawyer and as a journalist, living in Australia, Japan and elsewhere, before becoming a full time writer.
