Lemn Sissay is a poet and playwright. His poem 'Spark Catchers' is etched into a transformer on the Olympic Site in London, just one of his many public artworks in the UK. In 2010 he travelled to the Arctic alongside Jarvis Cocker, Laurie Anderson, Martha Wainwright, KT Tunstall and Lesley Feist, filmed in Burning Ice. In 2010 Lemn was made a MBE for services to literature.
