Marilyn Longstaff

Marilyn Longstaff was born in Liverpool and grew up on Salvation Army premises all over England and Wales. Since 1990 she has lived in Darlington, where she is a member of Vane Women, a writing, performing and publishing collective. She is the author of three poetry collections: Puritan Games (2001), Sitting Among the Hoppers (2004), and Raiment (2010). In 2003 she received a Northern Promise Award, and in 2011 she was one of the three featured poets in New Writing North’s Read Regional campaign.
