Velasquez, Claudia Magliano, Dalia Taha, Maarja Pärtna, Elena Salamanca, Håkan Sandell, Piedad Bonnett, Yan Li, Emi Miyaoka, Begoña Ugalde, Gabriela Ruivo, Rifat Abbas, Ashu Lal, Sanwal Gurmani, Tauqir Reza, Ali Asadollahi, N.S. Sigogo, Ali Akkour and Subhro Bandopadhyay. The issue also includes a selection of Hungarian women poets, Ellen Corbett's Stephen Spender Prize-winning translation of Laoighseach Ní Choistealbha, and cyanotypes with images of leaves and plants by Estéfani Díaz Azúa. The poems address ecology, climate change, mythologies that respect the earth, correspondences between outer territory and inner self, and the cultivation of a slow, nurturing relation with communities and other beings, in contrast to the acceleration and violence of the news cycle. All in this new issue of the groundbreaking magazine dedicated to poetry in translation: for the best in world poetry read MPT.
