Peter Forbes is a writer, journalist, and editor. He was editor of Poetry Review, Britain's leading poetry magazine, from 1986 to 2002. His anthology Scanning the Century: The Penguin Book of the Twentieth Century in Poetry (1999) was widely acclaimed. He translated Primo Levi's personal anthology, The Search for Roots, published by Penguin Press in 2001.
