Collection: Smith/Doorstop (The Poetry Business)
The Poetry Business publishes books, pamphlets and audio under its Smith/Doorstop imprint; runs the literary magazine, The North; and runs a national competition, Writing Days, the Writing School and residential courses. The directors and co-editors are Ann and Peter Sansom. A 25-year history of supporting writers and nurturing interest in contemporary poetry led Andrew Motion to describe the business as "One of the most vital and vitalising literature organisations in the in the country".
