The Poetry Book Society
Set up by T S Eliot and friends in 1953 ‘to propagate the art of poetry’, the Poetry Book Society is a unique poetry book club, delivering the best new poetry books straight to your door, alongside our poetry magazine, reviews and discounts. In 2016, the Poetry Book Society moved to Newcastle (UK) to join Inpress Books.
Every quarter our expert Poet Selectors choose the best new poetry books to send to our members hot off the press before they reach the high street bookshops.
We offer a wide range of memberships for individuals and organisations from Associate Membership for our magazine only to Full or Charter Membership, Student Membership, Translation membership for poetry in translation fans and Education or Charter Education Memberships for schools and libraries including teaching tips and education posters.
All members receive our new-look PBS Bulletin magazine, a quarterly review of new poetry, which contains unique interviews with major international poets, in depth commentary, reviews and sneak preview poems.
Full members also receive the best poetry collection of the quarter, the PBS Choice, whilst Charter Members receive the Choice and FOUR Recommendation books every quarter. It's an irresistible poetry parcel delivered straight to your door ever quarter! Members also receive an exclusive 25% discount on all books purchased from our website. We look forward to welcoming you into the PBS poetry community!
