Invitation to a Sacrifice is the second collection of poetry from a prizewinning author who has already made a considerable reputation through both his print publications and his always lively readings. His debut collection, The Boy in the Ring (Salmon, 2007) was shortlisted for the prestigious Irish Times Poetry Now Award in 2008 and was winner of the Strong Award for Best First Collection.
