A startling tale of dreams lost and found under the Australian sun. Persuaded by their Uncle Eddie, the Harvey family move to Eddie's small town of Akarula in the hopes of finding paradise, but then their daughter Georgie disappears.
It soon becomes apparent that hers is not the only local disappearance. Mr M, the only aborigine left in Akarula, sees it all from his seat under the town’s single tree, giving rise to local superstition and fears. As the history of the land unfolds new possibilities, answers to the mysterious disappearances slowly suggest themselves.
