Illustrated with the author’s own photographs taken over the course of a year, Pat Boran's haiku sequence (or rensaku) explores the flora and fauna of (North) Bull Island, a land-mass formed by the changing currents in Dublin Bay following the construction of the North Bull Wall. Boran's rhyming haiku observe the interplay of plant, bird and human presences on the island, and celebrate the delicate balance of a unique biosphere on the doorstep of Ireland's capital city.
