Agota Kristof's The Notebook comes to the stage
A stage production of Ágota Kristóf's powerful award-winning novel, The Notebook, launches at Battersea Arts Centre soon, running from 3-14 November.
Set during WW2,The Notebook tells the story of a pair of twin brothers evacuated to their impoverished grandmother’s farm. As the war deepens, the brothers are slowly revealed as struggling moralists, trying to live by consistent and often horridly brutal principles in a Central Europe crumbling into cruelty and opportunism. Just like the novel, this is guaranteed to be a challenging and brilliant piece of work.
